Brendan Reilly

I first officially met Brendan about a month ago at the inaugural Benson Home Companion at Barley Street Tavern after I had asked him to write one of the radio plays (never having met nor read anything he’d ever written). He’s theatre people, though, and dammit if I don’t love theatre people. I love every show we do and enjoy meeting new people and hanging out with our guests, but there’s only a small handful that I really connect with on a childlike level. Brendan fit right into that handful. We had so much fun this week and I can’t wait to do it again.

News of the Dead

The Final Chapter Wasn’t Really The Final Chapter

Martin Moszkowicz of Constantin Film confirmed to Variety that a reboot of the Resident Evil series is in the works. Adding to the excitement (for some) James Wan has been announced as the first film’s producer. Paul W.S. Anderson’s Resident Evil series was wrapped up earlier this year, bringing Alice’s story to a close (apparently). Now a new group takes the reigns, including Mortal Kombat screenwriter Greg Russo who will be penning the first installment in the Resident Evil reboot. (Source: Bloody-Disgusting)

They Look Like People
W/D: Perry Blackshear
Starring: MacLeod Andrews, Evan Dumouchei

“A simple story of two longtime friends reconnecting after years apart is complicated only by the fact that one of those friends is going batshit fucking nuts. As one-time college best friends, Wyatt and Christian had drifted apart, living their own different, yet strangely similar lives. Both were engaged but have since become single; both have made drastic changes. Christian struggles with his own personality and self image, where Wyatt struggles with… well, the phone calls that tell him an alien invasion has already begun. When Wyatt finally opens up to his friend, Christian makes the decision only true friends do – play into your psychotic friend’s schemes, even if it means having your face melted off by sulfuric acid.”
